Hello Reader,

Last week I went to my very first #FinCon in Orlando!

FinCon is the conference for personal finance content creators.

Does such conference exist? Yes and I want to share my experience with you!

1. I got to meet many personal finance content creators. Check out my IG reel to see their beautiful faces!
2. There is space for more BIPOC, first-gens, and women to become personal finance content creators.
3. I learn so many tips on how to continue growing as a content creator and want to share those tips with you!

When I first created this platform, my goal was to share my story, my mistakes, and help others through personal finance content.

I never thought I was going to meet and even be friends with so many amazing content creators. When I finally met them I was like, where had they been my whole life?!?!

Many BIPOC, first-gen, women, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized content creators were present at FinCon, 🙋🏽‍♀️but as a native LA Latina I was like, “Oh we need more of us!”

So if you been thinking about creating personal finance content or content in any other industry: DO IT! YOUR STORY IS NEEDED!

And if for some reason you have been thinking of creating content here are some takeaways I got from the conference as a content creator.

1. Do things with fear 💪🏽 - Stop thinking what others will think about you think about what you will do for your community.
2. Think of impact over numbers. 🤭 - it is easy to get caught up with follower count and views, but think about providing VALUE.
3. Be consistent! 😩 - I personally struggle with this one not even gonna lie, but remember creating content is a learning process!
4. Value your time and worth. 💵 - Even if you are not monetizing your platform honor your time.

I am so happy to be home. Florida weather got me feeling a little sick. 🤧 But I am so motivated to continue providing you with valuable content.
